Privacy and the protection of personal information

Privacy protection principles

Your personal information plays an important role in some of our business processes and in achieving our mission. Privacy and the protection of personal information are essential to us. Therefore, through this Policy, we intend to protect them in accordance with applicable laws and fulfill our responsibilities in this regard.

This Policy aims to ensure compliance with the legal framework established by the “Act Respecting the Protection of Personal Information in the Private Sector, RLRQ, c. P-39.1”. The Policy sets out 1200 Degrees’ commitments regarding the protection of your privacy and aims to establish and maintain your trust in our practices in this regard. Therefore, we communicate the Policy to you with transparency.

The Policy governs how 1200 Degrees collects, uses, communicates, retains, or destroys the personal information of its customers, employees, external job applicants, or any other person, regardless of the medium on which this information is located. However, the Policy does not apply to personal information that is public under the law. To ensure this protection, 1200 Degrees undertakes to collect, use, communicate, or retain personal information about an individual only when that individual has consented to it, unless permitted or required by law, in which case your consent will not be required.

For the purposes of this Policy, “personal information” means any information about an identifiable individual. For example, your name, postal address, or communication preferences are personal information about you.

We are committed to obtaining consent before collecting an individual’s personal information.
