Donation and Sponsorship Policy

At 1200 Degrees, we firmly believe in the importance of giving back to the community that supports us. This is why we actively engage in various social initiatives aimed at improving the lives of the people around us.

Whether through donating to local charities, sponsoring community events, or volunteering with important causes, we are continually looking for ways to contribute positively to our community.

Since the early 2000s, several Quebec laws have significantly altered the business environment, particularly for companies that deal with the public and parapublic sectors. Prioritizing transparency in processes, fair treatment of competitors, accountability, sustainable development, and environmental respect, laws such as the Lobbying Act, the Access to Information Act, and the Public Contracts Act aim to promote public trust and optimal use of public funds.

In line with these new standards of ethics and governance prevalent today, 1200 Degrees has established a donations and sponsorship policy to minimize any real or perceived conflicts of interest and eliminate any favoritism that may conflict with the values of our company in this area. Considering that our company primarily deals with public organizations, we deemed it essential to rely on a clear and transparent approach to provide accurate information regarding donations and sponsorships.

Each year, 1200 Degrees receives several donation requests from various sources. Our intention is to support various causes that are important to our partners, clients, and employees, as we recognize that the growth of our company is inseparable from our commitment to the communities where we operate. Our donations and sponsorship policy not only aligns with the new ethical standards regarding public contracts but also aims to streamline the application process and specify the range of causes we wish to support.
