1200˚ – Timeline
What is 1200˚?
Born of the fusion between Techno Feu and Boivin & Gauvin in 2014, the acquisition of Ontario-based Darch Fire in 2018 now means that 1200˚ can expand its service offer to Ontario, effectively covering all of Eastern Canada.
Our approach is simple: Expert advice, quality products and peace of mind.
It is at the end of July 1979 that Mr. Rolland Boivin and Mr. Yves Gauvin founded Boivin & Gauvin Inc. to share their experience and knowledge of firefighting equipment with clients.
In April 1990, Mr. Robert Traversy starts his own company following the bankruptcy of a local fire truck manufacturing company. TECHNO Feu Inc. is launched with two employees, Ms. Sylvie Léveillé and Mr. Robert Traversy.
Created in Ayr, Ontario in 1993 by Mr. John Darch and Ms. Susan Miller, Darch Fire specialises in the sale, repairs and maintenance of fire truck for the Central and Northern Ontario.
Mr. François Proulx, a businessman from Trois-Rivières, becomes the majority shareholder for TECHNO FEU Inc. Combined with the experienced team of Mr. Traversy and Ms, Léveillé, Mr. Proulx is confident that TECHNO FEU Inc. will reach new heights in the coming years.
TECHNO FEU Inc., a leader in the sale and maintenance of fire apparatus, becomes the new majority shareholder of the family-owned BOIVIN & GAUVIN. Since it’s foundation in 1979, BOIVIN & GAUVIN has demonstrated growth and has forged a reputation as a trusted partner in the sale and maintenance of firefighting equipment.
The group now formed by TECHNO FEU Inc. et BOIVIN & GAUVIN Inc. sets itself apart from the competition by the exclusive products it offers and its unparalleled expertise.
This new group is rebranded 1200°.
